Christopher Hemsworth, born August 11, 1983, in Melbourne, Australia, is an Australian actor best known for portraying Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After early TV work in Australia (Home and Away), he rose to global fame with Thor (2011) and its sequels, as well as The Avengers series.
Hemsworth is renowned for his athletic build, comedic timing, and warm personality both on and off screen. Outside of Marvel, he’s starred in Rush, Extraction, and Men in Black: International.
He’s also an advocate for health and environmental causes, launching his own fitness app, Centr.
